Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Record approved purchase orders.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of approved invoices and disbursements.
- Support Accounts Receivable.
- Prepare sales tax returns.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations.
- Reconcile daily transactions and produce precise financial reports.
- Other ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested by management.
- Assist with budget analysis.
- Providing support in other areas of corporate accounting and special projects as required.
- Year end tax documents.
Personal Skills and Characteristics:
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and other personnel.
- 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn multiple software applications.
- Strong experience and knowledge with SAGE Software.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to details.
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Time management skills and ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
Objectives:
- To maintain accurate financial records for the organization.
- To prepare financial reports on a timely basis.
- To reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- To support the General Manager in various tasks as needed.
Licensing, Education and/or Other Special Certification(s) Required:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Experience in Sage 50.
