Description
- Troubles shoot any tufting machine operational issue; investigate if the issue is a mechanical one or a raw material issue.
- Schedule preventive maintenance and ensure the task are completed and documented.
- To set up and adjust the machine depending on which style is being tufted.
- Coordinate with purchasing to reduce cost related to supplies and parts.
- Ensure machines are ready to be operated prior to requesting a crew, this should include but not be limited to the check piece and any minor adjustments such as needles and tensions.
- To follow all safety procedures when working on equipment (lockout/tagout etc.)
- Documenting all machine set up for each style.
Qualifications
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Understanding of basic mechanical operation of a tufting machine
- Basic knowledge of tool types and uses
- Must have an excellent attendance record
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Must be willing and able to move and lift up to 50lbs several times during the shift
- Work at heights up to 25 feet.
- FRS Certify
