Job Summary
Working on site, the Payroll / HRIS Analyst plays a critical role in the HR department by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and utilization of HR-related data within ADP Workforce Now and other systems. This role is responsible for working with various HR systems and databases to collect, analyze, and report on HR metrics and trends, and also to ensure that we optimize use and efficiency in ADP Workforce Now. This role also plays an important part of the company's weekly payroll process. The Payroll / HRIS Analyst collaborates with HR stakeholders to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and enhance overall HR processes.
Essential Job Functions
Payroll Support :
Serve as the primary backup for processing weekly payroll. Be prepared to take on full responsibility for processing weekly payroll in the future.
Work with supervisors and plant HR teams to finalize weekly timecards, to include clearing timecard exceptions and ensure that all paid time off is accurately accounted for.
Run payroll reports as needed.
HRIS Analytics :
Extract, compile, and cleanse HR data from various sources, including our integrated HR / Payroll system (ADP Workforce Now) and other key vendors / partners.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing regular data audits and validation checks.
Assist with developing standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
Provide reports and analyze data to help identify process improvement opportunities.
Generate standard and ad-hoc reports on HR metrics such as turnover, headcount, compensation, and benefits.
Analyze data to provide insights that support HR strategy formulation and decision-making.
Implement data access controls and security measures to safeguard sensitive HR information.
Provide technical support to resolve data-related inquiries and issues.
Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to present HR data in a comprehensible and actionable format.
HRIS Systems Administration (ADP Workforce Now) :
Support the continued development of HRIS modules, tools, and best practices within the company.
Set up and execute core HR processes in ADP Workforce Now (i.e., design and assign performance reviews, set up unique data fields, design and execute annual compensation reviews, assig training through the Learning Management System, etc.).
Lead the design and implementation of new HRIS features and functionalities, ensuring seamless data integration.
Assist with the HR data integration for any future acquisitions.
Other Areas :
Collaborate with HR leaders on implementing new programs and procedures.
Maintain strict confidentiality in all work aspects.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Previous payroll process experience is required. Experience with ADP preferred.
1-2 years of progressive human resources or information systems experience preferred, ideally in a mid-to-large company.
Proficient in data analysis tools desired (i.e., MS Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
Proficient in HRIS systems (preferably ADP Workforce Now), MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of HR processes, metrics, and best practices preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Excellent writing skills for generating clear and concise notes / documentation.
Certificate, Licenses, Registrations
No license requirement.
HRCI / SHRM Certification preferred.
