What is an Area Sales Manager?

Working directly with the Vice President of Sales, the area sales manager is facilitating offer negotiations, analyzing sales prices and strategies, and ensuring our communities are in tip-top shape. This person will also serve as a coach, mentor and trainer for the entire sales staff. Organizing talent, giving constructive feedback, throwing high fives, encouraging, listening, and pivoting every moment of the day in order to execute the company’s business plan and fulfill our sales team’s goals and aspirations.

While your day to day may look different week over week, one thing remains the same - the work that you accomplish matters.

Here’s a little highlight reel of day 1 duties and responsibilities:

  • Your People Come First - Hiring, Training, Coaching, Encouraging your team of Sales Ambassadors 
  • Sales Come Second - Having a gameplan to reach your sales goals and executing it beautifully…
  • Business Planning - Working with the Vice President of Sales in planning and executing the business plan.
  • PIVOT - Yes, things change, situations change, the market changes. Learn, Pivot and Adapt. Then Keep Going.
  • Community Visits - Seeing your team daily and encouraging not only them to be the best version of themselves, but also making sure that our communities are the BEST version of themselves.
  • Communication is Key - Collaboration and Clear Communication is Key for success
  • Coaching & Supporting - Allowing your team to play with no limits, so they can stretch their comfort zone and GROW!
  • Bringing the Energy - You are your sales team’s hype person. A smile, positive attitude and understanding are almost always required.
  • Vigorous Onset/ Onward- You have a constant drive to make things happen and reinvent the wheel where you see it will best benefit us all.
