We are seeking a full-time EMC Technician (11:00 am - 8:00 pm) in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for developing test and/or calibration schedules, perform activities with little direction and diagnose issues while maintaining accurate records.
Essential Functions
- Develop and review test schedules to determine which requests are ready for execution
- Conduct prioritization activities and communicate outcomes to the team
- Develop and perform testing by applying the appropriate level of measurement skills, equipment operation and tool utilization
- Understand procedures and diagnose issues as required
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of test equipment and records
- Administer tests to align with engineering test procedures
- Mentor less experienced Technicians (level 1)
- Move work and test equipment to and from work areas
- Lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job description
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology OR Vocational Certificate in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field OR a minimum of 80 hours towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Technology or related field OR High School Diploma or GED with previous Military training OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years Quality Technician experience in Calibration, EMC, RF, Antenna, Reliability, Electronics or related field
- Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude related to using tools and measurement devices (hand tools, calipers, gages, etc.)
- Demonstrated strong electrical aptitude related to operating electrical equipment and test devices (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
- Demonstrated intermediate knowledge and understanding of electronics and mechanical theory and applications
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Access, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to move work and test equipment to and from work areas
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job description
- Previous calibration, reliability, or electronics experience
- Experience working in a EMC lab, test lab or engineering test environment
- Experience with ISO9000, ISO17025, AS9100, IATF6949
