WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO DO:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (horizontal mill, live tooling twin spindle lathe, Swiss lathe, & auto saw).
- Load parts in the machine, cycle machine and detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
- Run prototype-production lots, communicate with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
- Regularly perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding tasks.
- Operate CNC Mills and Lathes with knowledge of multiple pallets and work coordinated systems as they apply to existing CNC machines.
- Perform inspection of machined products and document results.
- Analyze processes and provide solutions to problems while working on reducing setup and cycle times.
- Complete and maintain paperwork for parts.
- Assist in other work areas as needed.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Communication proficiency.
- Mathematical skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Technical capacity.
- CAD/CAM experience preferred, but not required.
- Time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand GD&T, and build to specifications.
- Experience of 2 – 5 years preferred, but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THIS POSITION:
- Climate controlled work environment.
- May be required to work on your feet for 10 – 12 hours.
- Need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.
- Dexterous use of both hands.
- Full-time position.
- Scheduled to work four 10 hour shifts per week, although overtime may be required on employee’s day(s) off.
