Job Overview
Outpatient Rheumatology seeking a dedicated and skilled Infusion Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team on a per-diem/PRN basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in nursing with experience in infusion therapy, with a strong experience in delivering high quality and compassionate care. Experience with infusion of biologic therapy is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous medications and therapies to patients as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after infusion treatments.
- Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and aftercare.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks.
- Collaborate with physician to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Conduct assessments of patients’ health status and report any changes to the medical team.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures in all infusion procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (preferred), but will consider LPN with prior infusion experience.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and medical-surgical nursing practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
