Responsibilities
Garnet Health Doctors is a New York State, not-for-profit Corporation headquartered in Middletown, New York, approximately 60 miles north of New York City. It is currently the active parent company for two member hospitals – Garnet Health Medical Center and Garnet Health Medical Center-Catskills. Our team includes more than 3,300 employed professionals and over 850 medical staff members, making Garnet Health one of the largest healthcare providers in the tri-county area.
Position Description
- Lead and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, overseeing Psychiatric inpatient care and the access center.
- Manage a 30-bed facility at Garnet Health Medical Center and 18 beds at Garnet Health Medical Center-Catskills.
- Maintain a caseload of 10-15 patients.
- Average length of stay for patients is 10 days.
- Responsible for histories and physicals, though infrequent as patients are typically admitted from the ED where the H&P is already completed.
- Provide on-call coverage with potential weekday differential.
- Possess an active NYS Medical License.
- Be Board Certified / Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $250,037 to $313,693 annually. This range does not include bonuses / incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
