What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Intern position at Garney Construction?
ASafety Internshipopportunityis availableat Garney Construction. You may work hands-on in the field or in the main office alongside project management and safety personnel. During your term, you will gain perspective on how we construct our projects safely.
- Gaining craft experience.
- Job site inspections to identify, document, and correct safety hazards.
- Helping provide safety training for job site personnel.
- Subcontractor safety coordination.
- Assist in planning and conducting safety meetings.
- Assisting with accident and incident investigations.
- Work with a scheduling system.
- Purchasing safety materials.
- Promote job site safety.
- Daily and periodic report updates.
- Candidates must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in construction management, civil or mechanical engineering, or another safety related field.
- Willing to relocate for their term.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
- Paid Holidays
- Housing or Per Diem may be available
