As our Marketing & Shop Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our brand’s visibility and success. Your role will focus on:
- Strategic marketing – implementing creative campaigns across digital and physical channels to attract and retain customers.
- Lead generation & conversion – ensuring a steady stream of new customers and nurturing existing ones to grow sales.
- Store operations & team leadership – overseeing daily shop activities, managing schedules, payroll, and inventory.
- Customer engagement – creating a welcoming, memorable experience that makes every client feel valued and part of our Garnish family.

Responsibilities:
- Drive in-store and online sales by setting, meeting, and exceeding sales goals.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase store and online traffic via digital platforms, client outreach, local partnerships, and paid advertising.
- Stay informed on market trends and identify opportunities for growth.
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across all promotional materials and platforms.
- Analyze sales reports, create action plans, and ensure accountability for sales goals.
- Success in this role will drive 10 qualified leads per day at a 50% conversion and well-organized store operations.
- Provide a personalized shopping experience through thoughtful styling recommendations (training provided). Lead styling sessions, including after-hours shopping parties.
- Build genuine customer connections and proactively reach out for stylist appointments, shopping parties, and new product updates.
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints professionally.
- Train, support, and lead a team of sales associates, with additional HR duties over time.
- Ensure smooth operation of the shop, assist with inventory management and maintain a clean, organized sales floor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5 years marketing experience
- An interest in fashion
- Retail experience preferred
- Computer skills include knowledge and proficiency of: social media, email marketing, website management (we use Shopify), Google docs, Google analytics, SEO. Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop is preferable.
- Effective English language skills required - both written and verbal
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain productivity during slower times
- Ability to climb a ladder, stand for extended periods of time, and lift 25-50 pounds occasionally
- This is a full time position with 30 - 40 hrs scheduled per week
- Must have the availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, occasional nights (1 - 4 per month for parties), long and short shifts. Holiday availability is required.
