ICU nursing position at Garrett Regional Medical Center
Unit : ICU
4 Beds
Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 to 2
Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, afib.rvr, suicide, detox, some med-surg overflow, occasional art lines, can take pediatrics, no PCU / intermediate care in building
Experience required : ICU experience
RNs required to titrate drips : Yes
Common titratable & / or set rate drips include propofol, cardizem, insulin, precedex, levo, etc.
House Supervisor available, no charge nurse
RT in ICU 24 / 7
RNs monitor and read strips for med-surg and ICU - house wide
12-hour shifts, 645-715, extra shifts may be available
Weekend Requirements : every other weekend required
Night shift is Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Holiday Requirements : rotates with regular staff
Floating Requirements : if census is low, may float to med-surg as needed
Scrub Color / Dress Code : any, other than camo or orange
Unit / Department specific orientation : 3-5 days of training on the unit
