What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Security and Technology Operations Officer position at Garrett State Bank?
Summary: Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring overall Information Technology activities. This includes a wide range of systems and hardware used in all areas of the company.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business or technology or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
Job Functions:
- Develop policies and procedures related to information access and controls within the organization and external access methods.
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot both local and wide area networks for operational efficiencies, application performance and security events.
- Ensure the secure operation of the in-house computer systems, servers, and network connections. This includes checking hardware device logs, reviewing user activity, scrutinizing network traffic, checking patching reports, virus scans, confirming and testing backup processes and logging all activity consistently and clearly.
- Work with contracted cyber security vendors to monitor for and respond to unauthorized access to Bank’s network or systems.
- Assists in a wide variety of hardware related tasks, from replacing security cameras, setting up new workstations, mounting servers, troubleshooting printer issues, and running new cabling are just a few of the different areas.
- Maintain an extensive set of documentation of all technology and processes that continually expand, but include hardware installations, config. changes made, common support issues, routing policies, redundancy setups, security permissions, hardware inventories, end of life tracking, project planning, and more as tasked.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of extensive recovery planning and incident management. These plans are required to be maintained and tested regularly to keep the Banks critical systems operational 24x7.
- Stays current on the operational needs of all Bank departments to assist in modifications as needed.
- Other assigned duties by the Senior Operations Officer.
- Work with Gov. agencies or Bank hired auditors to continually assess the Bank’s information security and operational technology to implement improvements and provide accurate reporting to the Board of Directors.
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
