EMPLOYMENT STATUS :
Part-Time; Stipend payment per Collective Bargaining Agreement
SUMMARY :
To carry out the aims and objectives of the sports program as outlined by the Athletic Director. To instruct athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Has thorough knowledge of the Athletic Code Handbook and is responsible for the implementation of these policies.
- Has knowledge of existing system and Conference regulations; implements these regulations consistently and interprets them for the staff.
- Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all student and parent requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all meetings that require attendance.
- Attend coaches' meetings.
- Promotes the sport within the school through recruiting athletes that are not in another sports program. If you are encouraging your athletes to specialize, you are in the wrong school.
