Premier Reinsurance company seeks an Operations Assistant / Triager to support its multiple Operations team. It can be junior level with a formal educational background in Accounting or Finance combined with demonstrated analytical skills. Some professional high volume transactional experience is required. Any Insurance or Reinsurance exposure would be a plus.
Position is in office 4 days per week, located in midtown NYC convenient to all major transportation hubs
This is a 6 month minimum contract role with the highly realistic potential a full time conversion for the right candidate
About the Position
Reporting to the Assistant Manager – Proportional, the Operations Assistant - Triager will support multiple teams and be responsible for all aspects triaging related to reinsurance transactions in our document retention and workflow tools for the cash, non-proportional and proportional teams. The role requires an individual who is driven and willing to work in a high-volume transactional role. The role will pivot across teams based on business needs and will be required to engage in making processes more efficient and streamlined.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Proportional, Non-proportional and Cash teams to triage all documents and tasks across the teams on a daily basis.
- Effectively and accurately process and allocate tasks to each team in a timely manner
- Engage proactively and provide regular updates to teams and managers
- Assist in creating efficiencies and value creation (review existing processes and propose updates/changes as appropriate)
- Participate in any special projects or ad hoc tasks that may be required
- Ensure all functions are carried out with a high degree of quality, in a timely manner
Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:
- High School diploma required; University degree preferred
- 2 years of related experience
- Driven individual who enjoys a challenge
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced role and environment
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle a variety of duties in a timely and accurate manner
- Strong communication skills.
- (Re)insurance experience preferred
- Team player and ability to work across multiple teams
