Garry Executive Search is seeking an experienced Certified Financial Planner (3-10 years) for a well-established, fee-only registered investment advisor located in central New Jersey. This full-time position provides the opportunity to engage in all aspects of wealth management, including investment management, financial planning, and direct client advisory work. The successful candidate will serve initially as a secondary client contact and quickly transition to a primary advisory role for a select group of the firm’s clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior advisors in developing wealth management solutions, including investment proposals, financial projections, estate planning reviews, and insurance needs assessments.
- Transition into a primary advisor role, conducting client meetings and delivering comprehensive financial and investment guidance.
- Serve as a secondary contact and support for existing clients, handling inquiries related to portfolio performance, market insights, retirement planning, and other key financial objectives.
- Assist with estate planning, college funding goals, and insurance needs, collaborating with clients’ attorneys or insurance providers as necessary.
- Engage with prospective clients, supporting proposal development and assisting in client onboarding.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution; business-related majors preferred but not required.
- Certifications: CFP designation required.
- Experience: 3-10 years of professional experience within wealth management, financial planning, or a related client-service role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with eMoney, Tamarac, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and strong time management abilities.
