Job Function & Purpose: Efficient, Quality, Best in Class Parts. Fulfill customer needs by managing the Parts Department resulting in value, excellent parts fill rates and assistance, and a high degree of product and dealership satisfaction. To represent and promote the Sales, Service, Parts, and Rental Department operations and store network in a positive manner, which assures customer confidence, repeat business, and maximum return for the Dealership.
Responsibility: As Parts Manager you are responsible to establish and maintain an efficient, quality, and profitable department; support the Parts with guidance, direction, support, and training to accomplish the best possible skills; maintain and support our client base, and sell parts. You are responsible for Company Policies and Procedures, safety, and sound judgment.
Standards and Measurement of Performance: You will meet or exceed your expectations when the following occurs:
- Satisfied customers with the department and yourself.
- Accomplishing sales and profit margin/labor cost goals plus administrative tasks as set forth by the Company.
- Sales growth in the department.
- Product/Parts knowledge.
- Successfully working with all departments.
- Morale and motivation within the Parts Department are accomplished, and employees are satisfied and gaining skills all as a result of good personnel management.
- Fulfilling the described duties, supporting and adhering to Company Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications
o Managerial Skills – Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. Able to supply the coaching, training, processes, and work ethics for department staff.
o Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, and performance reviews.
o Financial – ability to control expenses, review departmental financials, measure sales, gross profit, and expenses, and take appropriate action.
o Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, evaluation of customer satisfaction, and excellent phone communication skills.
o Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes suggestive selling and tactics, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
o Computers and Systems — Knowledge and skill with computers, software systems, and email.
o Mechanical — General knowledge of machinery parts, and service items.
o Cooperation — Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
