Job Title: Front Desk Representative - Private Dental Office
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Front Desk Representative at our private dental office. This position is integral to our practice's growth and success, as it involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting new patients, accurate recording of information, checking out patients, presenting treatment plans, and verifying patient insurance coverage. While experience in a similar role is helpful, we are open to candidates who are motivated to learn and grow in the dental industry. This position will require some help in the back of the office in treatment rooms including but not limited to bringing patients back to be seated, taking blood pressure and signing consents, setup and cleaning/disinfecting rooms.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our office both in person and on the phone
- Assist with new patient acquisition by answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing information about our dental services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records through efficient data entry and management
- Process patient checkouts, collect payments, and provide accurate information on treatment costs
- Present treatment plans to patients, explaining procedures, costs, and any necessary insurance coverage
- Verify patient insurance coverage, including eligibility and benefits, and assist with claims processing
- Collaborate with the office manager to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient care
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication promptly and professionally
- Uphold a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients and staff
- Help support our assistants and hygienists by turning over rooms, seating patients, etc. This has room to grow into more of an assisting role if desired.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in the dental or medical field strongly considered
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in computer skills, including knowledge of dental software (Eaglesoft) is a plus
- Understanding of dental insurance plans and terminology (previous experience in a dental office is beneficial but not required)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and dental procedures
Working Hours:
This is a full-time position, with patient hours scheduled from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Salary:
The salary for this position will be discussed during the interview process and will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Starting at $17/hr
