Position Duties Include:
- Assisting field technicians in industrial maintenance and repairs
- Taking measurements and calculating material sizes and amounts
- Cutting, shaping, and smoothing lumber, metal, or fiberglass
- Performing basic maintenance using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Adhering to strict safety standards
Desired Skills/Aptitudes:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with concrete, brick, mechanical, epoxy coatings, and/or welding is a plus
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers, etc.)
- Basic computer data entry skills
- Ability to learn to safely operate forklifts or other lifts
- Ability to learn to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- Willingness to travel to client locations
- Good command of the English language and basic math skills
Requirements:
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School diploma
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol pre-employment and random testing
- Ability to pass a background check required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical in accordance with federal and state laws
Physical Demands and Abilities:
- Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and work at heights
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be in good physical condition and have endurance
