Auto Dealership Service Porter Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Drive customer vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot

· Promptly greet customers in a professional and friendly matter

· Transport cars to and from wash and other locations

· Assist Service Advisors and other departments with duties as necessary

· Filing

· Will serve as a back-up to other service porters, including operating service shuttle, in their absence

· Perform daily maintenance and cleaning duties such as taking out trash, sweeping, etc as instructed

· Other duties as assigned

Auto Dealership Service Porter Qualifications:

· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely

· Excellent customer service skills

· Must be punctual and have good time management skills

· Must be a team-player

· A positive, can-do attitude

· Ability to drive a manual transmission required

· Ability to work in all types of weather conditions, including high heat

· Must have an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license

Auto Dealership Service Porter Schedule Requirements:

· Monday – Friday from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm with a one-hour lunch break. Occasional overtime may be necessary.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to type, talk and hear. The employee must be able to see color and at close and far distances. Occasionally lift 50 lbs and frequently lift up to 20 lbs.
