Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong interest in landscape maintenance. This role involves various tasks related to the upkeep and beautification of gardens, lawns, and hardscapes. The Landscape Laborer will work with both hand tools and power tools to create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Utilize power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers effectively and safely.
- Assist in the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Conduct tree trimming and pruning to maintain healthy plant growth.
- Prepare soil for planting by tilling, fertilizing, and amending as necessary.
- Build garden beds and assist in planting flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling tools.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping tasks.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to drive.
