Electronics Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to perform the installation of avionic components and systems, ensuring operational reliability and adherence to design specifications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reading instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly. They will also mount and install components, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), relays, contactors, switches, and terminal blocks in panel enclosures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble cables, buses, and electromechanical systems
• Measure, cut, solder, and/or crimp wire and contacts to fabricate wire harness
• Conduct detailed installations, including intricate cable harness configurations, ensuring all avionic installations meet safety and quality standards
• Inspect, test, and verify avionics assemblies against technical models, drawings, specification, and work instructions
• Troubleshoot panel system issues, carrying out necessary modifications, rework, repairs, or maintenance to resolve malfunctions
• Ensure the optimal function of GSE systems by conducting thorough inspections, cleanings, measurements, and testing activities

Requirements:

• Three (3 ) years' experience as an electrical/cable fabrication technician or other relevant industry experience
• Previous experience working with panel, wiring, and mechanical installs & experience with engineering drawings, wire diagrams, and electrical schematics
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Experience with avionics/panel manufacturing and operation of related test equipment
• Proficiency in harsh environment test & assembly procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a related field
• Further technical training or industry certification
