Sales Representative (Mobile Fueling)

The position is responsible for proactively driving all sales related activities for the company within an assigned geographical area or industry segment.

Working individually or with other members of the team as needed or requested, the position is responsible for proactively seeking new business development opportunities, developing and building close customer relationships, and driving sales contractual relationships both initially as new opportunities as well as maintaining long-term contractual renewals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Using all available resources, proactively seek out new business development opportunities aligned with the company's strategic goals and develop those new opportunities into revenue generating relationships for GIU
  • Develop a deep understanding of the industry needs and requirements, and use that knowledge to develop individually tailored presentations that highlight GIU's key value propositions
  • Penetrate the most senior levels of key customer organizations to ensure the company's value propositions are clearly understand and appreciated by customers
  • Develop those relationships into long-term partnerships that deliver value to both GIU and our customers
  • Work with Marketing to collaboratively share knowledge of current and emerging customer needs and utilize that knowledge to support our marketing efforts and programs, including proactively suggesting programs that support our sales efforts
  • Follow the company's core sales processes and disciplines including weekly pipeline reporting, lead generating activity, expense management, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable about the margin and profit implications of pricing negotiations always insuring we maximize the profit potential of each customer opportunity
  • Assume and lead those other key responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Work with a sense of active collaboration with other members of the leadership team and the balance of the organization to support a positive culture

Key Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years direct sales experience including deep operational knowledge, and demonstrated success working for early-stage, growth-stage and personal development of customer opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and presence
  • Strong written communication skills including the development of written presentations and formal offerings to customers
  • Experience in and appreciation for understanding the financials associated with the proposals given to customers, and maximizing the margin contribution of customer relationships
  • Strong collaborations skills and a track record of substantially and positively impacting the culture of an organization
  • Desire to maximize personal and organization success and outward enthusiasm toward sharing success across and between functions and individuals- putting the greater benefit of an organization first ahead of short-term personal success
  • Experience in and demonstrated success in utilizing core sales processes and disciplines including pipeline management and reporting, collaboration with marketing and finance on customer opportunities, use of CRM applications, etc.
  • A bachelor's degree is the minimum educational requirement.
