Sales Representative (Mobile Fueling)
The position is responsible for proactively driving all sales related activities for the company within an assigned geographical area or industry segment.
Working individually or with other members of the team as needed or requested, the position is responsible for proactively seeking new business development opportunities, developing and building close customer relationships, and driving sales contractual relationships both initially as new opportunities as well as maintaining long-term contractual renewals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Using all available resources, proactively seek out new business development opportunities aligned with the company's strategic goals and develop those new opportunities into revenue generating relationships for GIU
- Develop a deep understanding of the industry needs and requirements, and use that knowledge to develop individually tailored presentations that highlight GIU's key value propositions
- Penetrate the most senior levels of key customer organizations to ensure the company's value propositions are clearly understand and appreciated by customers
- Develop those relationships into long-term partnerships that deliver value to both GIU and our customers
- Work with Marketing to collaboratively share knowledge of current and emerging customer needs and utilize that knowledge to support our marketing efforts and programs, including proactively suggesting programs that support our sales efforts
- Follow the company's core sales processes and disciplines including weekly pipeline reporting, lead generating activity, expense management, etc.
- Be knowledgeable about the margin and profit implications of pricing negotiations always insuring we maximize the profit potential of each customer opportunity
- Assume and lead those other key responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
- Work with a sense of active collaboration with other members of the leadership team and the balance of the organization to support a positive culture
