Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cryogenic Technician to join our team. This is a challenging yet rewarding role requiring resilience, adaptability, and technical expertise. As a Cryogenic Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cryogenic systems and equipment, often in demanding environments including extreme temperatures, high elevations, and potentially hazardous conditions. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safe and efficient handling of extremely low temperatures and the proper functioning of cryogenic systems in a variety of applications, including medical, industrial, and research settings.

Whether working outdoors in harsh weather conditions, inside high-risk facilities, or managing intricate system challenges, your role will directly contribute to critical operations across multiple industries.  Cryogenic technicians are responsible for keeping end users and patients safe from a variety of hazards every day and on every job we do.  Attention to detail and situational awareness are paramount in these positions.    The role is physically demanding on every level.  Cryogenic technicians are required to lift heavy objects regularly.  They are also required to work long hours and during some turnaround shifts.

System Operation and Monitoring:
- Operate and monitor cryogenic systems, including liquefied gases, superconductors, and associated components.
- Ensure the proper functioning of valves, compressors, and other system components.
- Monitor and maintain system parameters to meet safety and performance standards.

Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct routine maintenance on cryogenic systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with cryogenic equipment.
- Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime.

Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures when handling cryogenic materials.
- Implement safety measures to mitigate risks associated with low-temperature operations.
- Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety within the team.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
- Generate reports on system efficiency, incidents, and any necessary improvements.

 Qualifications:
- Relevant hands-on experience with cryogenic systems and equipment.
- Basic understanding of gases, pressure systems, and cryogenic fluids.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for handling cryogenic materials.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
