QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and training or experience with office skills, computers, and the use of productivity software including Microsoft Office.
REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation; Director of Maintenance/Grounds; Superintendent; and/or Assistant Superintendent
JOB GOAL: To work with supervisors and staff to ensure safe transportation of students and facilitate a smooth, positive operation of school facilities.
REQUIRED PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare letters/notes/messages from schools, Director of Transportation and/or Director of Maintenance/Grounds.
- Perform a variety of secretarial duties, including answering phones, filing, photocopying, transmit and receive faxes.
- Assist Director of Transportation in the coordination of the transportation program to assure safe transportation of all students.
- Maintain an inventory of and order all janitorial supplies.
- Assist in obtaining substitute bus drivers and activities drivers; prepare substitute driver route directions and directions for all activities.
- Maintain all transportation records, health forms, attendance records, accident reports, and all reports and forms required by DESE.
- Maintain student information files and assist schools in assigning student to bus routes and enter Infinite Campus data.
- Create POs, collect & verify receipts and send to Central Office. Maintain purchase cards and verify purchase card statements.
- Keep track of staff absences in Leave Request/ Sub Portal and Timeclock for payroll
- Verify all staff absences, subs, etc. in SISFin and Timeclock by the 10th of the month for payroll.
- Pick up and deliver all district mail to all buildings, make District bank deposit, and transport students as needed.
- Assist both Directors on RFP’s. Proofreading and sending to the paper for publication/ Attend bid openings, and complete all necessary bid information.
- Assist in the coordination of annual Missouri State Highway Patrol inspection.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Transportation.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This can be an 11 or 12 month position. Salary to be established by the Board of Education.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND VISUAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. Additionally, the employee may occasionally be required to push or lift up to 25 lbs. as necessary for the safety and well-being of others. Lastly, this job requires the employee to have the vision ability to read handwritten or typed materials, and meet multiple demands from several people while interacting with other staff and the public.
