Gaska Tape a leading innovator in manufacturing of closed-cell foams and adhesive foam tapes is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor .
The Maintenance Supervisor will direct and coordinate activities of employees engaged in mechanical, electrical and general maintenance, communicate with management and other department heads to execute planned PM programs, schedule inspections and repairs in conjunction with production requirements. This position will play a key role in designing and implementing capital equipment installations and building modifications. Will issue and review maintenance work orders and PM’s for effectiveness and modify to meet the changing needs of our facility.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervise and schedule all maintenance personnel.
2. Maintain a PM program on buildings, machinery, and support equipment.
3. Candidate must be knowledgeable in steel fabricating, carpentry, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC and basic electrical wiring.
4. Maintenance of building exterior, including parking lot, sprinkler system, snow plowing and general condition of buildings.
5. Coordinate with Purchasing Department to acquire maintenance supplies, replacement parts and service.
6. Assist Director of Manufacturing in designing and installation of capital equipment.
7. Observe and enforce OSHA regulations and plant safety rules.
8. Participate in the continuous improvement process at Gaska Tape
9. This position has the responsibility and authority to identify and record problems relating to quality, and to initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be familiar with Preventative Maintenance program in a manufacturing environment.
2. Familiar with basic OSHA regulations.
3. Possess basic NEC knowledge, ability to read wiring and construction drawings.
4. Knowledge of gas trains, burners and NFPA regulations.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. Candidate will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a related field.
2. 3 to 5 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel in a manufacturing environment.
