The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of residential construction, excellent managerial skills, and a passion for delivering top-quality work while maintaining profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations of the Handyman Division, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Track project budgets to maintain profitability and train staff in budget management.
- Coach, mentor, and support field staff to achieve expected profit margins and top-tier workmanship.
- Stay up to date with construction practices and provide ongoing training for staff.
- Attend subcontractor walkthroughs, client meetings, and lead weekly staff meetings.
- Manage hiring and terminations while conducting annual reviews for direct reports.
- Work independently while also leading teams in carpentry, drywall, painting, and other trades.
- 5-7 years of construction experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and foster trust among coworkers and subordinates.
- In-depth knowledge of the residential remodeling industry.
- Ability to pass a drug and background check.
- Possession of a valid WA state driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Live within 50 miles of Seattle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with experience using Microsoft Access and BuilderTrend.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
- Ability to provide instruction, offer constructive feedback, and uphold high work standards.
- A self-motivated individual who is accountable for their own performance and results.
