We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Lighting Controls Specialist to join our team in Livonia, Michigan.
Job Description: As a Lighting Controls Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects by understanding, implementing, and coordinating lighting controls systems. You will work closely with the Controls Manager and other team members to ensure the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. This role requires a high level of expertise in lighting controls, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and explain lighting controls and systems to clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Create accurate wiring diagrams and comprehensive support documentation for lighting controls systems.
- Prepare bids for projects, including cost estimation and coordination with customers and other departments.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and commissioning of lighting controls systems.
- Read and understand electrical plans and construction documents to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to contractors and end users during the installation and operation of lighting controls systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices related to lighting controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the lighting industry, with a focus on lighting controls highly preferred.
- Proficiency in creating wiring diagrams and technical documentation for lighting controls systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical plans, construction documents, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for training purposes.
