Sr. DevSecOps Engineer

If so, we want you to join our infrastructure team as a Senior DevSecOps Engineer!

Are you a fit?

As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer on our infrastructure team, you will collaborate closely with security, application development, business intelligence, infrastructure, and operations teams to implement secure, efficient, cloud-based infrastructure and applications in Azure. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and embedding security practices into our DevOps processes, establishing secure software delivery pipelines, and enabling a shift-left approach to security.

Additional Responsibilities

· Design and maintain a highly available, scalable, and secure Azure-based infrastructure, emphasizing security-first practices.

· Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, focusing on early vulnerability detection and remediation.

· Collaborate with security and development teams to implement security controls and best practices, enhancing our shift-left security efforts.

· Manage, maintain, and consolidate Azure DevOps organizations with a focus on securing the DevOps environment.

· Automate routine tasks and processes with secure scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash), including security monitoring and compliance checks.

· Monitor and troubleshoot Azure-based systems for performance, capacity, and security issues.

· Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans with security considerations in Azure.

· Keep current with emerging trends in Azure, OCI, DevSecOps, and security best practices.

Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field, associate degree/two (2) years of college five (5) years of related work experience, or seven (7) years of related work experience (plus any additional required experience). Relevant certifications in Azure and DevSecOps preferred.

· Proficiency in scripting languages with security automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and experience with configuration management (e.g., Ansible) in a secure environment.

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.

Preferred Experience

· Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure and security services (e.g., Azure Security Center, Sentinel, VMs, Kubernetes, App Services).

· Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially with security in mind (e.g., Terraform, Bicep).

· Familiarity with containerization and container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in an Azure context.

· Excellent communication skills to articulate security needs and collaborate with various teams.

· Self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive in shifting security left in DevOps practices.
