Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team at Gaston Fence Company Inc. This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our clients while supporting our mission to deliver high-quality fencing products. You will be the first point of contact for customers, helping them with inquiries and ensuring their needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone, screen, provide information when needed and direct calls; Take and relay messages in a timely manner when necessary.
- Greet persons entering company office or showroom.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and courtesy.
- Monitor visitor access.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate fencing products based on their needs.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining detailed records.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide support during the sales process.
- Maintain knowledge of product offerings to effectively assist customers.
- General administrative and clerical support.
- Control inventory relevant to office environment.
- Pull small orders for in-house customers when applicable.
- Tidy and maintain the reception area.
- Prepare correspondence and documents including counter quotes and sales staff proposals.
Requirements
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail with emphasis on organizations and planning.
- Ability to work and aptly use a multi-line phone system.
- Proven experience in customer service or call center environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette.
- Ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple tasks and understanding deadlines and response times.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Basic data entry skills and proficiency in office software are beneficial.
