We are seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Day Tutors to join our high school team. The ideal candidates will provide expert guidance and support to students in math, English, and science subjects.
Position Overview
- Part-time position: 19 hours per week
- Subjects: Reading and Math
- Location: On-site at our high school campus
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for 3rd grade - 8th grade students in math
and reading.
- Review classroom topics and assignments to reinforce learning.
- Assist students with homework, projects, test preparation, and research tasks.
- Develop personalized learning strategies to address individual student needs.
- Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align tutoring with curriculum goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student performance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong knowledge of elementary and middle school-level math and reading.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience, preferably at the elementary/middle school level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable manner.
- Proficiency in using educational software and learning tools.
- Ability to motivate and engage students in the learning process.
