As an Endoscopy Technician, you will be integral to the healthcare team, assisting in the preparation and execution of endoscopic procedures. Reporting to the supervising physician, you will utilize your core skills in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and diagnostic evaluation to ensure patient safety and comfort. Your expertise in aseptic technique and BLS certification will be essential in maintaining sterile environments and responding to emergencies. Responsibilities include:
- Assists the physician with endoscopic procedures
- Assists with ensuring the center is properly prepared for the daily schedule
- Sterilization of equipment and high-level disinfection
- Cleaning the surgical suite between cases
- Opening of sterile packs, instruments, and supplies. Ensuring a clean environment is maintained throughout the procedure.
- Preparing for the set-up of all procedure cases.
- Ensuring surgeon identifies and describes surgical specimen prior to its placement in the specimen jar.
- Reporting and troubleshooting of all broken or defective supplies or equipment.
- Checking and restocking the center.
- Operates and maintain documentation for Medivator Autoclave
- Assesses the condition of all equipment, instruments, and accessories on a daily basis and reports any irregularities to the Nurse Manager.
- Coordinates rooms and scopes according to daily schedule.
- Properly disposes of contaminated waste following Standard Precautions and OSHA regulations.
- Takes an active role for identifying issues for quality improvement.
MUST have BLS certification.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
