Job Description
We are seeking a competent, conscientious, service-oriented individual to work in one of our gastroenterology medical offices as an Endoscopy Technician. This role involves providing selected care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures and supporting clinicians in the exam rooms. The successful candidate will work under the direction of physicians and practice managers/office leads.
Responsibilities
- Collect and record patient data accurately and efficiently.
- Provide medical chart information and assist with patient intake, transport, paperwork, and recordkeeping.
- Maintain endoscopy instruments and equipment according to industry standards and regulations.
- Verify proper equipment functioning and perform safety checks.
- Prepare rooms and maintain a hygienic and organized area.
- Assist with patient education and communicate physician instructions.
- Respond to patient inquiries and triage calls in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- High school graduate with 2 years of medical office experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Ability to multitask, take initiative, and work in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Certified Medical Assistant or GI Tech Certificate preferred.
- Spanish fluency required for some openings.
