Data Integrity Supervisor responsibilities are:
- Responsible for the release of PHI and medical record audits responding to requests from payors, attorneys, SSI, or other sources ensuring Gastro Health policies, procedures, and HIPAA standards are met.
- Responds to subpoena requests for records; deliver subpoenaed records to court hearings or depositions if ever required.
- Ensures Quality Reporting Specialist, Data Integrity Specialist, and MPI Specialist are meeting goals and deadlines, supporting their daily tasks, and acting as a backup in their absence.
- Monitors access to PHI utilizing P.S.A.C. and break-the-glass reports investigating outcomes and report findings on a quarterly basis to the Chief Compliance Officer.
- Complete online incident reporting when breaches occur and submit for manager review. Develop solutions to prevent further breaches and make recommendations for improvement to management.
- Inform the HIM Manager, of all issues, complaints, incidents, etc.
- Conducts training and in-service as directed by leadership.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action up to, and including, termination of employment.
Data Integrity Supervisor requirements are:
- Completion of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or comparable industry experience
- Five years in a healthcare setting
- Two years of Release of Information
