Inpatient Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant – Acton, MA (Emerson Hospital)
Full-time | Monday–Friday | Gastroenterology
To support our continued growth, we are seeking a full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our inpatient gastroenterology team at Emerson Hospital in Acton, MA. This is a Monday through Friday position with no weekends or call, offering a balanced schedule in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Practice Details:

Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule

Average 14–18 patients per day

Inpatient-focused position based at Emerson Hospital in Acton, MA
Job Duties:
-
Manage inpatient consults and follow-ups
-
Evaluate and coordinate care for acute and chronic GI conditions
-
Order and interpret lab work and imaging
-
Write and refill prescriptions appropriate for diagnosis

Document patient encounters in eClinicalWorks in a timely manner
-
Collaborate closely with GI physicians and hospital staff
-
Participate in GI-focused patient care initiatives and protocols
Candidate Requirements:

Active NP or PA license in Massachusetts
-
Board Certification and prescriptive authority required

Prior gastroenterology or inpatient experience preferred

Strong interpersonal and clinical skills

Adaptability, integrity, and a commitment to patient-centered care
