Gastroenterology Associates Endoscopy Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to join the team!
Job Summary: This position is responsible to apply a wide range of maintenance coordination, repair and upkeep skills to maintain functional, aesthetically pleasing offices and Ambulatory Surgical Facility (ASF) as well as facilitate preventative maintenance for building of systems and equipment. Responsibilities include project planning, supply purchases, record keeping and ensuring repairs and maintenance result in optimal patient care with positive outcomes while observing cost containment and safety issues.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
1. Develops and maintains a working knowledge for use, maintenance and certification(s) of building systems including but not limited to, HVAC system, Fire/Sprinkler system, Security Alarm, Emergency Generator, Elevator Lighting system, Coded Door Locks, Porous Asphalt, etc.
2. Develops, facilitates and shares with management annual maintenance schedule for building systems.
3. Facilitates compliance with agreements between GA and service providers/vendors (i.e., landscapers), as directed.
4. Responsible for light remodeling tasks such as spackling, painting, caulking, hanging shelves, wood/vinyl repair, rough and finish carpentry, installing wall hangings, etc.
5. Responsible to assemble new office furniture, as needed, such as desks, chairs, tables, cabinets, etc.
6. Facilitates repairs as needed and in accordance with building warranty.
7. Responsible for working within city, county, state and federal guidelines and laws, in particular avoiding work that requires permit, licensure (i.e., does not provide
plumbing or electrical/electronic repair work) or union membership.
8. Maintains working knowledge of building construct, such as of maintaining the Endoscopy Center one-hour firewall and of GA policies relating to building/facility systems.
9. Observes Standard Precautions and GA infection control practices.
10. Maintains working knowledge of hazardous materials in the workplace, (including patient bodily fluids, specimens and chemicals). Is familiar with location and use of MSDS book and is proactive in preventing personal, patient and staff exposure to hazardous materials.
11. Makes judgments and takes appropriate action regarding safety issues. Notifies supervisor of safety issues promptly.
12. Observes HIPAA guidelines regarding protected health information.
13. Sets a good example for coworkers in all aspects of performance. Strives to maintain and improve cohesiveness and teamwork throughout the practice. Models and encourages behavior consistent with GA’s Mission Statement.
14. Accepts responsibility for knowledge base growth and development. Participates in required annual training.
15. Other duties may be assigned by management or GA Development (building ownership) to promote efficiency and ensure a safe and aesthetically pleasing office(s)/ASF.
Pay Range: $50/hour
Required Skills:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to speak English clearly and understand and follow oral and written instructions
- High School/GED education required, college or trade school education preferred
- Experience in general construction, maintenance and/or remodeling required
- Experience in building systems maintenance facilitation preferred
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to work independently required
- Demonstrated reliability and ability to work within planned project timelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and basic arithmetic skills required
- Strength, balance and agility sufficient to work from the floor, move around in confined spaces and/or perform work from ladder required.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions when confronted by unique problems
