Job Overview
The role of the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is to serve as the main point of contact for our patients and caregivers both before and after their appointments. A successful PCC truly cares about our patients’ treatment outcomes and understands the impact healing has on their lives. Because the Patient Care Coordinator is such a critical part of our team, teamwork and respect are always expected from the PCC towards our patients, staff, and outside offices.
The Patient Care Coordinator will have access to PHI during the course of his/her work activities. The PCC will use this information to appropriately assist patients as well as our clinical team when necessary.
The Patient Care Coordinator will provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers, which includes team members, patients, and visitors by consistently exceeding the customers' expectations.
The Patient Care Coordinator will be willing to travel to our Greenville, MI office approximately 1-2 times per month. Compensation for mileage is provided.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the team lead and/or practice director
Responsibilities and Duties: Front Office
· Greet patients and caregivers upon arrival and create a welcoming environment
· Point of contact for incoming phone calls from patients, offices, insurance companies, etc.
· Check-in; including but not limited to accurately collecting/updating demographic information, scanning insurance cards, scanning driver’s licenses, and receiving and/or handing out paperwork
· Check-out; coordination of subsequent appointments and procedures
· Educate patients on any procedure requirements or preparation instructions they may need for future appointments
· Collect patient payments
· Maintain adequate stock of all necessary paperwork
· Ensure printers remain full of paper and toner
· Keep lobby and front office area tidy; including but not limited to taking care of any packages delivered throughout the day
· Confirm upcoming office visits
· Confirm upcoming procedures with in-depth preparation instructions
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

EDUCATION: High school diploma
EXPERIENCE: Minimum one (1) year experience in the medical field
KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations as related to all aspects of a health care organization, knowledge of Microsoft Office, knowledge of EPIC, knowledge of medical terminology
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $18.00 per hour
