What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical flow staff member and triage/task nurse position at Gastroenterology Associates?
Gastroenterology Associates is looking for a full-time clinical flow staff member and triage/task nurse for our Bristol, TN office. Acceptable candidates would have certification as LPN, Medical Assistant, CNA, or have 2 or more years of prior experience and plans to obtain certifications within 12 months. The position would be under the direction of the Clinical Manager. Clinical flow staff members will take vitals, record findings, update medications, and medical, surgical history on each patient. Also assist provider with examinations. Communicate with providers to ensure that patents’ needs are taken care of. Call patients to provide results and follow up treatment as ordered by provider. Schedule follow up appointments and lab appointments. Address medication orders, manage samples and order as needed from the sales representative, document required information in the EMR. Maintain HIPPA compliance. Manage high risk medication patients. Conduct office testing and maintenance of equipment. Keep the exam rooms clean and stocked. Assist / Crosstrain in needed areas of business. Train coworkers. Follow policies and procedures. Excellent organizational skills and time management is a must..
