Job Summary:
The Biologics Coordinator/pharmacy technician is responsible for responding to inbound and outbound calls to customers while ensuring a high-level of custom service and maximizing productivity.
Under direct and indirect supervision, the Biologics Coordinator/pharmacy technician is primarily responsible for patient communication to discuss therapy progress, physician follow up, medication, profile updates, and obtain inventory from the patient to properly refill the orders.
The Biologics Coordinator/pharmacy technician will assist the physicians in obtaining laboratory values for review.
Maintain schedule for patient follow up/refill assessments and deliveries.
Communicates with patients to review inventory to properly refill existing orders.
Anticipates patient care supply needs to ensure appropriate inventory is maintained for patients.
Ensure timely and appropriate documentation in progress notes.
Communicates effectively with patients/caregivers and clinicians involved in care of patients.
Discusses patient progress, documents in progress notes, and forwards all concerns and clinical questions to physician.
Perform all duties assigned by his/her respective supervisor/manager.
Receive and process new pharmacy referrals, verify insurance coverage, facilitate prior authorization requests, accurately transcribe prescriptions, generate reports that follow the cycle, fill calendar to send and follow up with refill request via E-scribe fax or by phone, coordinating delivery and serve as the first point of contact for service-related inquiries and associated needs.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
