Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join our team in a full-time role (four days per week, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM). This is an excellent opportunity for pre-med and pre-nursing students looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a clinical setting. The Endoscopy Technician will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing diagnostic evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations and interventions.
- Ensure the proper sterilization of instruments using aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient information and equipment used.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on endoscopic equipment to ensure functionality.
Skills
- Expertise in aseptic technique to prevent infections during procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- BLS (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
