Insurance Verification Coordinator
We are a busy Gastroenterology office with 33 Providers. We are looking for a team-oriented individual to provide great customer service to our patients! This individual should show great attention to detail and a passion for healthcare. We are currently expanding our Practice and are looking to bring on additional team members to help accommodate for the increased number of patients we will be seeing!
Typical Duties:
- Prepare verification/add on lists to ensure all infusion patient benefits are complete. Contact patient insurance companies and verify eligibility, benefits, pre-existing clauses, and pre-certification requirements.
- Complete pre-certification requirements if necessary.
- Obtain essential referrals and authorizations for claim payment.
- Call patients prior to infusions to confirm payment or set up payment plans.
- Approve or write up payment plan requests.
- Return any patient phone calls incurred throughout the business day.

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 2 years (Preferred)
- Medical insurance: 2 years (Preferred)
