Pay
$16.50/hour
Ramp Agents load and unload customer bags, operate ground service equipment, coordinate
the servicing of arriving and departing aircraft, prepare aircraft cabins for departure, assist with
ramp services including waste disposal and re-servicing of aircraft. Ramp Agents also assist
customers and comply with any ad-hoc requests as needed. Individuals must be comfortable
serving customers and proficient in using computers. Ramp Agents must be capable of working
in stressful situations, under rigid time constraints, and in the outdoors under various
weather-related and noise conditions.

Responsibilities for Ramp Agent
- Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo from the aircraft to the
- Maintain on-time connections by guiding aircraft to and from gate positions
- Protect baggage and other equipment from damage, loss and weather conditions
- Drive and operate ground equipment, such as tugs, cargo carts, service trucks, and belt
- Ensure necessary ground equipment is available in the ramp area and bag room for
- Prepare the cabin for customer boarding and departure, including cleaning seats, seat
- Assist with record-keeping and documentation to ensure correct routing of baggage
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain safe working conditions for yourself and others
- Communicate with managers and lead agents to manage daily schedules
- Report equipment problems and breakdowns to facilitate fast repairs
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small
- High school diploma or equivalent, such as successful completion of a GED
- Familiarity with basic computer programs to assist with record-keeping and baggage
- Possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
- Pass a physical agility test, depending on the airline
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to help achieve team goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, such as email and phone
- Flexible schedule allowing work during nights, weekends, and holidays
