Summary
The Dispatcher is the central point of contact for base catering operations. The position develops and maintains detailed operational planning which includes administrative, implementation, and follow up tasks for Sky Café bases. Works with the team to understand and assist with tracking all work, task, and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
Attend to and Report all issues / calls regarding each flight
Perform operational pre-shift huddle meetings with entire staff on duty
Be familiar with all procedures in both Warehouse and Transport departments
Review previous shift emails and ensure that they are all addressed / responded to
Report all staff late arrival times, early leaves, and absenteeism
Update DFI (AirTransat) and other airlinesrevisions onto blocks to include revised timings, updated gates, aircraft locations, tow times, and gates for all aircrafts must be included on each block
Report any pending strips that were not done during the shift and the reason for it not being stripped
Confirm all team members have had the opportunity to take their break(s)
Maintain communication with all team members and ensure that they are where they are supposed to be, and they are returning to the base in a timely manner
Maintain constant communication with crew members and / or airlines operational staff or representatives
Update next day blocks for AM / PM and put names of drivers and shift times and corresponding truck that they are to use and inform Manager / Supervisor regarding any deviations in manpower scheduling
Ensure that blocks for following days are created properly and drivers are confirmed for the following day – trucks should be assigned according to the flights that they are doing.
Every single occurrence that is outside of normal operations must be communicated to Airlines as they occur (in real time)
At the end of each shift, ensure that all lights have been shut off on all trucks, and check the back of the warehouse and all trucks for cleanliness, fuel, etc.
Must ensure that crew is back from break on time, any downtime must be utilized by getting ahead on loading of the trucks, cleaning of the trucks, and / or building bulk items
Dispatch will be cross trained on different aspects of the Warehouse operations and build bulk and ice
Update GPET according to the shift worked – GPET MUST BE UPDATED FOR ALL FLIGHT SERVICED PER SHIFT including double checking for accuracy to ensure that all extra charges and information is inputted correctly
Ensure that the Security declaration is completed for each flight
Ensure that carrier check lists are completed and uploaded onto Google Drive
Ensure that the Driver Log is completed in full and any issues with the truck are reported on the driver log.
Requirements
1-3 years Administrative and Coordination experience
MS Office, experience is preferred
Word, Excel, Outlook experience is essential
Be at least 18 years old
Posses a valid Canadian driver’s license
Ability to work on a permanent basis in Canada
Obtain a clear criminal record
Must obtain necessary airport and / or Transport Canada security clearances
Must obtain necessary airport vehicle operator permit
Must be capable of lifting / pushing / pulling up to 70lbs on a regular basis
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying schedule and be available on call as required
Must successfully complete airline and corporate specific training programs and recertification
