The role encompasses various responsibilities, including crafting CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) sections for FDA IND (Investigational New Drug) filings, overseeing analytical equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards, developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and standardizing analytical methods for drug substances. Experience with deploying Process Analytical Technologies (PAT) is also part of the work. An ideal candidate should have a profound understanding of analytical techniques for small molecules, as well as significant experience in one or more other areas including DNA, RNA, proteins, and peptides as therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities:As a Senior Analytical Chemist at GATC Health, you will play a pivotal role in our pharmaceutical development endeavors. Your responsibilities will include composing CMC sections for FDA IND filings, managing and troubleshooting analytical equipment such as UPLC, Mass Spectrometry, NMR, IR, UV-Vis, and ICP-MS, ensuring adherence to cGMP standards, devising and refining SOPs, and establishing standardized analytical methods for drug substances. Additionally, you will play a key part in deploying advanced technologies for analyzing small molecules, oligonucleotides, proteins, and peptides, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support our drug discovery and development efforts.
\n- PhD or Masters in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
- 3 years performing analysis of drug substance for clinical and preclinical applications.
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry, particularly in drug discovery and development.
- Proven expertise in writing CMC sections for FDA IND filings.
- Strong proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation, including UPLC, Mass Spectrometry, NMR, IR, UV-Vis.
- Thorough knowledge of cGMP regulations and their implementation in analytical laboratories.
- Demonstrated capability in developing and standardizing analytical methods including PAT for drug substances.
- Expertise in analyzing small molecules, oligonucleotides, proteins, and peptides as therapeutics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
