Apprentice Carpenter/Laborer

Summary: This Carpentry Apprentice/Laborer must be able to successfully follow instructions and complete basic carpentry tasks and work cooperatively with others to meet project deadlines. Because this company is scaling, we expect the job description to develop over time if not all items apply at the start of the position.

Tasks:

· Work cooperatively with Project Managers and field team members in moving projects forward while meeting targeted deadlines and schedules.

(Work we perform may look like, but is not limited to, plumbing, electrical, framing, drywall, painting, roofing, flooring, tile, etc.)

· Interact professionally with Clients, office staff, and business partners etc.

· Be responsible for the efficient and profitable use of the company's time and materials on each project

· High School diploma, or equivalent, college experience or degree preferred

· A commitment to delivering outstanding service to high end clientele

· Strong work ethic, self-directed, motivated, and reliable

· Open to feedback

· Concise communication and presentation skills, verbal and written

· Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment

· Gracious, respectful attitude toward others on the team in various places of growth

· Must have own tools or be willing to purchase

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

· Physical strength and stamina, ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 80lbs.

· Manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination, ability to handle, feel, lift, operate, and move objects, tools, or controls.

· Strong construction reading and math skills.

· Ability to work in a construction environment.

· Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, dig, go up and down stairs and ladders, crouch, and crawl, and lay down.

· Exposure to heat and/or cold, and inclement weather.

· Limited exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

· Ability to travel to various job sites.

Schedule:

· 8-hour shift

· Day shift

· Monday to Friday

This person should be willing to grow into a proficient knowledge of all of the trades through training. This person should be willing to take pride in a job well-done, take initiative, be willing to go the extra mile, and enjoy serving clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
