What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer position at GATE Energy?
Job Summary:
The Engineer position is responsible for business development and resource and quality management for a segment of our business. This may be functional or based on a particular disciplinary grouping (e.g. by client or technical group) and will generally form the reporting point for line managers within their group.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Obtain feedback from clients
- Identify and develop business opportunities
- On the job training for junior staff
- Develop proposals
- Issue weekly updates (as required)
- Develop engineering manuals
- Ensure client satisfaction through effective project delivery and QA/QC
- Ensure correct project/deliverable documentation
- Responsible for adhering to GATE policies and procedures in a positive manner
- Proactively work to create positive and professional culture within GATE
- Present at monthly meetings and lunch and learn sessions
Experience & Education:
- 1 year experience with relevant engineering degree or advanced degree required
- Proven ability to manage client relationships
- Proven ability to manage quality, time, team and budget on small projects and on discrete scopes of work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present at industry seminars/conferences/meetings
- Ability to travel offshore and internationally
