Job Summary
Join the dynamic BlueFin QHSE team and make a real impact on health, safety, and environmental performance in the field. As an HSE Site Representative, you will serve as the frontline enforcer of safety, compliance, and culture at our work sites. You’ll work closely with site leadership, clients, and crews to ensure all BlueFin and regulatory standards are implemented, practiced, and continuously improved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce QHSE policies, procedures, and regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, USCG, BSEE, ISO standards, etc.).
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and BBS observations to identify hazards and coach for safe behaviors.
- Deliver engaging on-site orientations and HSE training to new and existing staff.
- Lead investigations into incidents and near misses, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with clients and subcontractors to ensure full regulatory and procedural compliance.
- Assist in implementation of site-specific safety plans and risk management strategies.
- Control and distribute PPE, ensuring proper usage through training and audits.
- Support continuous improvement through proactive hazard mitigation and safety coaching.
- Utilize and promote EHS Insight software for safety data and KPI tracking.
Education and Experience
- Minimum: High school diploma; 2 years in an HSE role.
- Preferred: Associate’s degree or professional safety certifications (OSHA 30, CHST, etc.).
- 3 years in the energy industry highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to deliver training and mentor field personnel.
- Able to travel and work in offshore and challenging field environments.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screening, MVR, and physical exams.
- Comfortable standing/walking for long periods and working in extreme weather.
- Willingness to travel to offshore sites as needed.
