Job Summary:
We are currently searching for a motivated, energetic, and detail-orientated entry level Project Engineer to work within our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for interfacing with multiple project teams, ensuring project goals have been met and executing company objectives. You must have a technical background and be able to work independently. You must also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as be proficient in Visio, Word and Excel. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who want to kickstart their career in project engineering. This position will primarily be located in The Woodlands, TX but will required travel to Viking Engineering's Corporate location.
Essential Duties& Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing project activities from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Prepare, update, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Support the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and project proposals.
- Develop Visio Workflows
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients and team members to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned project(s), ensuring clear and transparent communication among all team members and stakeholders.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Proactively identify potential project risks and issues and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
- Handle project issues, changes, and escalations in a timely manner.
- Ensure that project risks are communicated to all stakeholders and that mitigation plans are in place.
- Project Delivery and Evaluation:
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet the agreed-upon scope, quality standards, and timelines.
- Monitor and track project progress, adjusting as needed to ensure successful completion
