DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts Adherence to GATE attendance policy by working a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Arrive to work on time, consistently
- Follow GATE standards for uniform and appearance, upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair
- Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval
- Attend all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetings
- Ensure GATE's customers are the first priority to guarantee customers continue to visit GATE stores.
- Provide positive interaction with customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints.
- Greet customers and assist customers with questions about products or services GATE offers.
- Ensure a friendly and efficient checkout experience for customers.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- Communicate accurately and positively to customers and other staff.
- Problem solving and de-escalation skills
- Reinforce / abide and may interact with Federal, State, Local law rules and regulations including company policy.
- Must have or obtain and maintain Food Safety Certification if 18 years of age or older
- Utilize organizational skills to continually provide customers with a clean and well-stocked store.
- Perform minor repair and maintenance of store food equipment
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization of the facility, including cleaning restrooms, floors, windows, and storage rooms; sanitizing pumps; emptying trash cans; changing light bulbs; placing towels in dispensers; and changing paper and ink cartridges in the registers
- Prevents the spoilage of ingredients through proper storage in designated containers and in designated areas sometimes located in climate controlled store / walk-in coolers
- Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customer's problems and concerns.
- Ensure a friendly and efficient checkout experience for customers
- Operate the cash register and process customer payments. Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions. Compute and tend accurate change. Balance the cash drawer
- Operate all equipment in accordance with the duties assigned each day.
- Handle all payments following all GATE policies.
