Job Duties and Requirements
1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.
2. Arrive to work on time, consistently.
3. Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.
4. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.
5. Attend all required training, safety courses, office and departmental meetings.
6. Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.
7. Attend TIPS class, become certified in the responsibilities for serving alcohol.
8. Make all drinks according to standardized recipes.
9. Learn proper abbreviations and prices.
10. Keep bar area clean and free from clutter.
11. Keep workspace clean before, during, and after functions.
12. Learn types of wines available, the proper foods to serve them with and the correct presentations and opening procedures.
13. Become proficient in suggestive selling and up selling.
14. Perform opening and closing sidework as assigned.
15. Keep tables, ashtrays, work area neat and clean at all times.
16. Prepare fruit and make mixes. Label, store, rotate all mixes and fruit, following health, safety standards.
17. Keep all proper glassware stocked, cleaned and sanitized.
18. Receive stock and order liquor for bar.
19. Attend pre-shift meeting to learn daily specials and miscellaneous information.
20. Greet members and guests immediately and with a smile.
21. Learn and properly use the POS system.
22. Ring checks accurately and in a timely manner.
23. Maintain an organized, clean and sanitary bar.
24. Maintain a working knowledge of liquor costs, assist in achieving budgeted liquor costs.
25. Perform other jobs that will assist in quality guest service as assigned by the Beverage Manager or Dining Room Manager.
