Job Description:
We are seeking a professional, service-oriented Wedding & Special Events Sales Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for selling and coordinating wedding events and associated functions, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for couples and their guests. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and experience in luxury hospitality or wedding sales.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to all wedding inquiries across various platforms (e.g., website, phone, email, Knot, Wedding Wire) and conduct thorough initial consultations.
- Conduct site tours for prospective couples, highlighting The Lodge’s venues, amenities, and service offerings.
- Manage the contracting process for all wedding-related events, including ceremonies, receptions, welcome events, and farewell brunches.
- Coordinate group accommodations by managing wedding room blocks in alignment with resort policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current wedding trends and market preferences to support client planning and customization.
- Clearly communicate all wedding and catering offerings, packages, and pricing to clients.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key wedding vendors and partners.
- Actively prospect and pursue new business opportunities in local, regional, and destination wedding markets.
- Represent The Lodge & Club at wedding shows, bridal expos, and other industry events as needed.
- Participate in relevant industry organizations (e.g., NACE, MPI) to build connections and stay informed on trends.
- Ensure accuracy of all booking data and reporting tools, including pace reports and forecasts.
- Assist with development and maintenance of wedding packages, menus, and promotional materials.
- Maximize revenue by promoting enhancements such as upgraded menus, spa packages, and additional wedding weekend events.
- Serve as a liaison during the planning process, including food tastings and planning meetings, and collaborate with the Wedding Coordinator to ensure a smooth client transition.
- Be present on-site for select weddings and high-profile events to ensure quality standards are met.
- Attend internal meetings, including BEO and pre-conference meetings, to align with operations and execution teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in wedding sales, catering, or event planning preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on client service.
- Professional appearance and demeanor; confident in client-facing roles.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
